Jeddah, May 11 -- India's Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 campaign came to a disappointing end after a 0-3 defeat against defending champions Uzbekistan in their final Group D match at the King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium on Sunday.

The result not only eliminated the Blue Colts from the continental competition but also ended India's hopes of securing a historic qualification for the FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2026, as per a press release from the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Uzbekistan's victory ensured qualification for both them and Australia, who will now meet to determine the group winners.
