Amritsar, May 24 -- BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday expressed grave concern over the "deteriorating" law and order situation in Punjab, citing the brutal killing of Punjab Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Joga Singh near Majitha in Amritsar and the recent violent unrest inside Kapurthala Central Jail as glaring examples of "total administrative collapse".

While demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Chugh said in a press release, "The cold-blooded murder of a Punjab Police employee while on his way to duty has exposed the shocking insecurity prevailing across the state."
