New Delhi, July 18 -- Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Kapil Sibal on Saturday alleged that the BJP is attempting to secure a two-thirds majority in Parliament through "horse-trading" so that it could pass any legislation it wanted.

He said that MPs from the Trinamool Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena had been brought to the ruling alliance to bolster its numbers.

Speaking to ANI, Sibal said, "Why is the BJP engaging in this horse-trading? Twenty Trinamool Congress MPs merged their legislative group with a party from the Northeast, one we hadn't even heard of, and began sitting in Parliament.
