Guwahati, Aug. 30 -- Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Gaurav Gogoi on Sunday alleged that the BJP and the AIUDF have been deliberately creating divisions between Hindus and Muslims solely to serve their narrow political and personal interests.

While addressing a mammoth Booth Sammelan organised jointly by the Juria Block Congress Committee and the Bogoriguri Block Congress Committee in Rupohihat LAC, Gogoi said, "The BJP and the AIUDF have been deliberately creating divisions between Hindus and Muslims solely to serve their narrow political and personal interests."

Launching a scathing attack on the ruling dispensation, Gogoi characterised the BJP as a "party of thieves and dacoits".
