Patna, Aug. 26 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has received more than 1.6 lakh claims and objections from political parties and electors in Bihar during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 of the electoral rolls. With just six days left for filing claims and objections, the process will conclude on September 1.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the ECI on Tuesday, political parties have submitted a total of 1,60,813 claims and objections regarding the draft electoral roll published on August 1.

Among national parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) filed 53,338 cases, followed by the Indian National Congress with 17,549, while the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) submitted 74. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) em...
