Bihar ministers-in-charge, secretaries to monitor 13 Ganga riverine districts; CM Samrat Choudhary takes aerial stock
Patna, Sept. 5 -- The Bihar government on Saturday has issued major directives for intensive monitoring of relief and rescue operations in Ganga riverine districts.
As per the directive, Ministers-in-Charge and Secretaries-in-Charge will visit 13 districts located along the Ganga from Buxar to Katihar to take stock of the situation. The officials will camp in flood-affected areas and monitor relief and rescue operations.
The districts for which instructions have been issued include Buxar, Bhojpur, Patna, Saran, Vaishali, Begusarai, Samastipur, Lakhisarai, Khagaria, Munger, Bhagalpur and Katihar.
The Chief Minister has directed intensive supervision of relief and rescue works amid rising water levels.
