Aichi-Nagoya, Sept. 26 -- Indian shuttler Ayush Shetty advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the men's singles event after registering a comfortable straight-game victory over Kazakhstan's Makhsut Tajibullayev at the Asian Games 2026 on Saturday.

Ayush produced a dominant performance to defeat Tajibullayev 21-7, 21-7 in just 18 minutes in the second-round clash.

The Indian maintained control throughout the match, putting pressure on his opponent with aggressive play and quick movement to secure a one-sided win.
