Aichi-Nagoya, Oct. 3 -- Indian wrestler Antim Panghal sealed a silver medal in the women's 53 kg category at the ongoing Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Saturday.

Antim lost to Japan's Moe Kiyooka (ranked number 19th) by points (1-9) in the gold medal match, as per Sports Authority of India (SAI) Media.

This marks India's first silver medal in the women's 53 kg wrestling event at the Asian Games, with Antim having secured a bronze medal in the 2022 edition.

This is India's 84th medal at the Asian Games, including 20 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze medals.

Earlier, Deepak Punia clinched bronze for India in the men's 97-kg freestyle wrestling category at the ongoing Asian Games on Saturday.
