New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has facilitated the export of 1 MT of GI-tagged Gulbarga Tur Dal from Karnataka to the Maldives, with the export-linked channel providing farmers a higher realisation of Rs 82 per kg compared with the prevailing market price of Rs 60 per kg.

According to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the consignment was flagged off on September 24, as part of efforts to expand international markets for India's GI-tagged agricultural products and strengthen the participation of Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO)-led brands in agricultural exports.
