New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- Telugu Desam Party MPs on Sunday strongly condemned YSR Congress Party leader Ambati Rambabu for allegedly resorting to "filthy, abusive and demeaning language" against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, claiming that the word "bastard" was used to insult him.

TDP MPs, including Lavu Krishna Devarayalu, K. Appalanaidu, Byreddy Shabari and Rajya Sabha MP Sana Satish condemened the YSRCP leader's remarks.

Addressing a press conference held at AP Bhavan, New Delhi, after the Budget Session of Parliament, the TDP MPs said Ambati Rambabu's remarks represent a shocking new low in Andhra Pradesh politics and amount to a "direct assault" on democratic values, public decency and civilised political discourse.
