Agartala, Sept. 1 -- A large public rally of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) was held at Vivekananda Maidan, popularly known as Astabal Maidan, in Agartala on Tuesday as part of the organisation's 22nd Tripura State Conference.

The rally witnessed the participation of AIKS General Secretary Biju Krishnan, AIKS Vice-President Hannan Mollah, CPI(M) Tripura State Secretary and Politburo member Jitendra Chaudhary, AIKS Tripura State Secretary Pabitra Kar and other leaders.

The three-day state conference, being held from September 1 to 3, is expected to deliberate on a range of issues confronting farmers across Tripura and chalk out the organisation's future course of action.
