Tashkent, Sept. 2 -- The India U20 men's team will look to build on their winning start to the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers when they face hosts Uzbekistan in a crucial Group B encounter at the Do'stlik Stadium in Tashkent on Thursday, September 3.

The Blue Colts began their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Syria on Monday, with Shami Singamayum scoring the decisive goal in the 86th minute, according to a press release from the AIFF Media.

Uzbekistan, meanwhile, made an equally positive start, defeating Bangladesh 2-0 in their opening game. The hosts produced a dominant performance to take all three points and currently sit at the top of Group B, with India second on goal difference.
