New Delhi, Oct. 30 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a USD 139.55 million loan to improve urban infrastructure and municipal governance in Puducherry, including the expansion and rehabilitation of water supply and sewerage networks, according to a statement by the development bank.

The funding, under the Puducherry Integrated Urban Livability Improvement Project, aims to support the development of climate-resilient water supply and sanitation infrastructure, modernisation of urban public spaces and measures to strengthen municipal finances and institutional capacity, the release added.
