Academy taps Jennifer Todd for 17th Governors Awards, succeeding Jennifer Fox
Washington DC, June 30 -- Film producer Jennifer Todd has been appointed producer of the 17th Academy Governors Awards, succeeding Jennifer Fox, who had overseen the event for the past seven years, according to Variety.
Todd, a former governor of the Academy's Producers Branch, will lead the prestigious ceremony for the first time.
The Academy will present Honorary Oscars to actor Glenn Close, filmmaker Ridley Scott and animator Floyd Norman during the event. Producers Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler will receive the Irving G Thalberg Memorial Award.
Announcing the appointment, Academy CEO Howell Taylor praised Todd's experience.
