New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged that party MLA Kuldeep Kumar was "kidnapped" from his residence early in the morning amid a protest over the alleged murder of a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) sanitation worker in Kalyanpuri.

In a post on X, Bharadwaj alleged that around 20 people from Delhi in plain clothes arrived at around 4 am and took Kuldeep Kumar to an undisclosed location.

Bharadwaj said the AAP MLA had been raising the demands of sanitation workers, including compensation for the family of the deceased worker. He alleged that the protesters had sought a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, but instead of meeting them, the MLA was taken away.
