New Delhi, July 18 -- A 45-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants in North West Delhi's Bawana area on Friday morning, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Joginder alias Kala.

According to the Delhi Police, the incident took place around 8:15 a.m. in Village Pooth Khurd, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Bawana police station limits.

Following the attack, Joginder was immediately rushed to the MV Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

"A crime team has inspected the spot. An FIR is being registered in connection with the incident, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused persons," police said.
