Hyderabad, May 14 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader CR Kesavan questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to implement austerity measures within Congress-led state governments following the Prime Minister's recent reduction in security expenses. The BJP leader questioned whether the opposition would match the Centre's efforts to prioritise national interest.

Speaking to ANI, Kesavan drew a sharp contrast between the Prime Minister's actions and the conduct of opposition leaders regarding public spending.
