North 24 Parganas, Sept. 10 -- Leader of Opposition in West Bengal and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday urged for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list to begin as soon as possible in the state.
He also accused the state government of institutional corruption, alleging that revenue is being looted by the police, local goons, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew, Abhishek Banerjee.
Speaking to the reporters, Suvendu Adhikari said, "...We want the process of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) to start in West Bengal as early as possible..."
"There is institutional corruption in West Bengal...The revenue is being looted by police, goons, CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew, Abhishek Banerjee," Adhikari said.
