Washington DC, Feb. 25 -- President Donald Trump on Tuesday praised congressional Republicans for passing what he called was the cornerstone of his second-term agenda, the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," while sharply criticising Democrats for opposing the sweeping tax package.

"The Republicans delivered so beautifully," Trump said during his State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress, referring to GOP lawmakers who backed the legislation.

Trump criticised Democrats for voting against the bill, "All Democrats, every single one of them, voted against these really important and very necessary, massive tax cuts."
