Dibrugarh, Nov. 3 -- All India Congress Committee General Secretary Vikas Upadhyay lauded Assam Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi, asserting that he is riding a "wave" among people across the state.

Upadhyay expressed confidence in Congress' victory in the 2026 Assam elections under Gaurav Gogoi's leadership.

"There's a wave across Assam for a young leader who raised his voice in Parliament during Operation Sindoor... We have seen the intentions and sentiments of the people here... A different atmosphere prevails throughout the state today. In 2026, a Congress government will be formed here," Vikas Upadhyay told ANI.
