New Delhi, July 22 -- The Congress continues to pick holes in the resignation of former VP Jagdeep Dhankar from his position citing health grounds. MP Manish Tewari commented called the last 15 hours eventful, adding that the resignation was accepted in haste.

While talking to ANI, Congress MP Manish Tewari said, "The events of the last 15 hours are very surprising. Perhaps for the first time in India's Constitutional history, the Vice President has resigned, and it has been accepted in haste. If he speaks on what the circumstances were, the truth will be known to 146 crore Indians."

Dhankhar, who is also Chairman of Rajya Sabha, sent his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu.
