Birbhum, Jan. 7 -- Nobel laureate Amartya Sen has received a notice from the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding a discrepancy in his electoral roll information.
The notice states that the age difference between Sen and his mother is less than 15 years, which is unusual. The in charge of Sen's house maintenance, Geeti Kantha Majumdar, claimed that the ECI changed Sen's mother's birth year from 1914 to 1918, leading to the notice.
