Bhopal, Sept. 15 -- AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday arrived in Bhopal to attend a public meeting against the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and said that the proposed law would be against several provisions of the Constitution, including Articles 25, 26, 14 and 29.

Speaking with the media, Owaisi said, "This is against Articles 25, 26, 14 and 29 of the Constitution, and you cannot implement such a law by abolishing freedom of religion."

His remarks came as he launched an attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over their push for the UCC.
