Bengaluru, July 21 -- Former India pacer and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) President Venkatesh Prasad has thrown his weight behind Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, saying the veteran duo have earned the right to decide when they want to retire and should continue playing until the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Speaking in Bengaluru, Prasad dismissed any suggestion that the two stalwarts should be pushed into retirement despite growing speculation over their futures.
