Bidar, Sept. 1 -- Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Tuesday criticised the registration of an FIR against Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on a 'purification' ritual in Uttarakhand's Haldwani, questioning the decision to file a case against a person who had "called out" the alleged illegal act.

"Instead of putting an FIR... putting a case against a person who has... called out... who has called out this illegal thing, who's called out that how the Constitution is being breached," Kharge said.
