Patna, Aug. 30 -- Bihar Minister Sanjay Saraogi on Saturday launched a fierce attack on the opposition over alleged derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during an INDIA bloc event in Darbhanga, saying that the opposition has reached the "pinnacle of lowliness."

He said that such conduct had deeply hurt the sentiments of people in the culturally revered region of Mithila.

Speaking to ANI, Saraogi said, "These people have reached the pinnacle of lowliness. Mithila is the land of Janaki Maa, and these people have tarnished the image of this place. Derogatory words were used about PM Modi's late mother, abuses and insults were hurled; these people have tarnished the entire land of Mithila."
