Los Angeles, March 16 -- 'Sinners' writer-director Ryan Coogler made a special shout-out for his wife, Zinzi Coogler and their three children, after accepting the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay at the 2026 Oscars.

Coogler was present at the ceremony with his wife Zinzi, the producer of the 1930s-set vampire film.

"Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler, you guys are the best producers in the world, and Zinzi, you are the best wife and mom in the world," the director said at the Oscars ceremony, after 'Sinners' won the Best Original Screenplay.
