Gautam Budhha Nagar, March 28 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated Phase I of Noida International Airport at Jewar, calling it a symbol of "India's new spirit" and highlighting its potential to drive development in Uttar Pradesh.

He emphasised that the airport will serve as a catalyst for development, creating opportunities for the youth and farmers of Uttar Pradesh while benefiting surrounding regions like Agra, Mathura, and Ghaziabad.

Phase I of the airport has been developed at a total investment of around Rs 11,200 crore under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
