Thoothukudi, Aug. 23 -- Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) general secretary Vaiko said that he believed preparations were underway for a "secret agreement" between the DMK in Tamil Nadu and the BJP.

Speaking to reporters at Thoothukudi Airport, Vaiko on Saturday reiterated his allegation that efforts were being made for a possible understanding between the two parties.

"I believe preparations are underway for a secret agreement between the DMK and the BJP," Vaiko said.

Vaiko also referred to his earlier assessment of the Assembly election results. He said that when journalists had approached him two days before the counting of votes and asked about the likely outcome, he had predicted that the results would be "shocking". ...
