Riyadh, Oct. 10 -- Saudi Arabia has welcomed a ceasefire agreement reached on Gaza and the commencement of implementation of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's proposal to "end the war on Gaza Strip."
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement that the agreement "paves the way for a comprehensive and just peace".
"The Kingdom appreciates the active role of U.S. President Donald Trump and the mediation efforts by the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Turkiye to reach this agreement," it said.
