"Opposition obsessed with opposing govt": UP Deputy CM Maurya amid BRICS Summit
Lucknow, Sept. 12 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Saturday said there should be no distinction between the ruling party and the opposition when foreign delegations visit India, as several world leaders are in the national capital for the ongoing BRICS Summit, but accused the opposition of being "completely obsessed with opposing the government."
Speaking to ANI about the BRICS Summit, Maurya said, "Whenever a delegation visits from any country in the world, they are India's guests, and welcoming guests is the duty of every citizen. When it comes to welcoming a guest, there is no ruling party or opposition. When it comes to the nation, such divisions do not exist."
