New Delhi, July 24 -- Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday said the flood situation in Assam is very serious and confirmed that 47 people have lost their lives so far, with many others still missing.

Speaking to ANI, Sonowal said both the Central Government and the State Government are working together to support the flood-affected people.
