New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Congress Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh on Friday hit out at the Narendra Modi government for not speaking the truth about the actual state of the Indian economy, saying that wages for most citizens have remained stagnant in the past decade, regardless of their class or sector.

"The Modi government, its drumbeaters, and cheerleaders are living in a fictional world. They are avoiding speaking the truth about the real state of the economy," Ramesh posted on X.
