Srinagar, Sept. 12 -- Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Pushpendra Singh Bhati on Saturday said Lok Adalats provide a mechanism to offer maximum relief to common citizens through amicable settlement and dialogue within the framework of law.

Speaking at the inauguration of the third National Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex in Srinagar, Bhati said the entire legal fraternity, including advocates and judges, strives to ensure that maximum relief reaches citizens within the ambit of the law.

"The entire legal fraternity-including advocates and judges-strives to ensure that through amicable settlement and dialogue, maximum relief reaches the common man within the ambit of the law," he said.
