Bengaluru, Aug. 8 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday hit back at Union Minister Kiren Rijiju over his remarks challenging the Congress on the Women's Reservation Bill, asserting that his party will give more strength to women and declaring that there is no need for Rijiju to worry about the state of the Congress party.

Addressing a press conference, Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar asserted that it was the Congress party that piloted the Women's Reservation Bill.

"We are the ones who piloted the women's reservation bill...we will give more strength to women...Kiren Rijiju need not worry about the Congress party..." said DK Shivakumar.
