New Delhi, July 28 -- Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi on Tuesday said that Jauhar University is part of India's heritage and that educational institutions should be cherished rather than demolished.

Speaking to ANI he said, "In a country where orders to demolish universities are issued, one must realise that a plan is afoot to keep future generations uneducated. I believe the government should rise above political vendettas," Pratapgarhi said.

"Jauhar University is a part of this country's heritage. It is good that the Commissioner realised that temples of education are not to be demolished, but cherished," he added.
