Lucknow, Nov. 10 -- Former Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh on Wednesday termed the recovery of a large cache of explosives from Haryana's Faridabad as a "wakeup call," noting that India's intelligence agencies will have to function at a "different level" to prevent terror attacks in the future as well.

Noting the magnitude of the explosives recovered, former DGP Singh said that the "NCR was sitting on the tip of a volcano."

Speaking to ANI, he said, "It is a matter of tremendous satisfaction and relief. An AK-47 rifle was recovered from his locker in Kashmir.
