Karur, July 10 -- Relatives of the people who lost their lives in the 2025 Karur stampede on Friday expressed gratitude to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay after receiving government job appointment orders, saying that the appointment has given them hope, financial security and strength to rebuild their lives after the tragedy which killed more than forty people.

The Chief Minister today handed over government job appointment orders to 32 members of the families of the 41 people who died in the stampede during a TVK rally in September 2025.
