Dehradun, Sept. 5 -- Congress Uttarakhand president Karan Mahara on Saturday criticised the delay in action over the alleged "purification ritual" conducted at Ramlila Ground in Haldwani, saying complaints were filed across the state but no action was taken.

"If the government were to act in accordance with the law, action should have been taken. But since it didn't happen here, people likely sought recourse elsewhere. There isn't a single police station in this state where a formal complaint demanding action wasn't filed, yet nothing happened," Mahara told ANI.
