Los Angeles, June 13 -- Singer-actor Selena Gomez is setting the record straight amid reports suggesting the 'Only Murders in the Building' has been shading her longtime friend, fellow singer Taylor Swift.

In a series of Instagram stories, Gomez clarified her stance and explained that she would never insult her friends and that her comment was misunderstood.

"Woke up and was sent so many texts. I would never insult my friends, nor was it an insult. The comment was a reaction to the first slide on the page. Second, I bet my friends on the game.
