Aichi-Nagoya, Sept. 29 -- Indian shooter Neeru Dhanda dedicated her historic Asian Games gold medal in women's individual trap to her mother and coach after becoming the first Indian woman to win the event at the continental showpiece.

Dhanda produced a composed performance in rainy conditions to win the gold medal on Tuesday, securing India's fifth gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Games. Speaking to ANI after her victory, the 26-year-old shooter said hearing the national anthem after her triumph was a moment of immense pride.

"I dedicate this medal to my mother, to my coach, and to the entire country of India. I want to put this medal around my mother's neck and my coach's neck. I am very excited about that," she told ANI after clinching gold....
