Los Angeles, April 21 -- Actor Ryan Reynolds has hinted at a new direction for the Deadpool franchise, revealing that the iconic anti-hero may no longer headline future films, according to People.

Asked about the future of the character, Reynolds said, "I have some stuff kind of written," but added, "I don't think I'm going to center him again. I think he's a supporting character."

The actor, who has led the franchise since 2016, explained that Deadpool works best in ensemble settings. "He's a guy that's great in a group," he said.
