Evian, June 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hailed the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) taking effect from July 15 as a "historic milestone" in bilateral relations and a major step forward for trade and investment between the two countries.

In a post on X, PM Modi said the agreement would significantly strengthen economic engagement between India and the United Kingdom (UK) while opening up opportunities across key sectors.
