New Delhi, Nov. 13 -- BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal on Thursday hit out at senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram over his recent "home-grown terrorists" remarks in the wake of the Delhi terror blast, accusing the former Union Home Minister of attempting to "mislead the public by giving such statements".

Khandelwal also emphasised that "a terrorist has no religion or nationality".

Speaking to ANI, he said, "A terrorist has no religion or nationality. Why does P Chidambaram forget the time when he was the Union Home Minister? He did not raise these issues at the time? During his tenure, many such attacks happened. He wants to mislead people by giving such statements."
