New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- West Bengal Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta, at the 57th GST Council meeting on Thursday, said GST is 'always very useful for a state like West Bengal, as much of its revenue accrues through the tax.

He also added that the 57th GST Council meeting was "very, very positive".

Speaking to reporters after the meeting in Delhi, Dasgupta said, "GST is always very useful for a state like West Bengal. Much of the revenue which comes to us accrues through the GST."

He said ease of doing business was one of the major focus areas of the structural reforms discussed at the meeting.
