New Delhi, May 20 -- Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday accused the Centre of launching a "propaganda campaign" to portray critics of the Great Nicobar Island Project as being "soft on China", while alleging that the Narendra Modi government itself has followed a policy of "Continuing, Calibrated Capitulation to China".

In a post shared on X, Ramesh said the government was attempting to divert attention from the ecological and humanitarian concerns surrounding the project.
