"Forcibly defeated": Mayawati alleges "govt irregularities" after BSP secures 19 seats in Rajasthan local body polls
New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Tuesday claimed that several BSP candidates were "forcibly defeated" during recounts by razor-thin margins due to irregularities involving government machinery. She noted that without such interference, the party would have recorded an even stronger performance across the state's local bodies.
In an X post, Mayawati extended congratulatory greetings to party workers on Tuesday after the BSP secured 19 councillor seats in the Rajasthan municipal elections.
