Gurdaspur, Sept. 7 -- Bharatiya Janata Party's Punjab General Secretary Anil Sarin said on Sunday that flood situation in Punjab is "worrying" and "lakhs of people have become homeless".
He also said that Punjab has a "special place" in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's heart as the latter is scheduled to visit the flood hit regions in Punjab's Gurdaspur on September 9.
As of Saturday, 46 people have lost their lives due to floods in Punjab, according to the officials.
