New Delhi, March 9 -- Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Monday criticised the Union government after a news article indicated that regulations required to implement the new rural employment law replacing the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme are yet to be finalised.
Sharing a newspaper article on X, Ramesh alleged that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had rushed through legislation in Parliament to replace the previous rural employment scheme without adequate consultations.
