Amritsar, Oct. 5 -- Following the shooting incident of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sukhchian Singh, Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Praveen Kumar Sinha on Monday said ASI Singh was shot at while returning to his village after completing his duty, adding that his injury was serious but not life-threatening.

Speaking about the incident, Sinha said the ASI, who is a Government Railway Police (GRP) officer, was allegedly followed by two youths on a motorcycle before a shot was fired at him.
